And anyway, this sort of thing happening to Nagito specifically is even less surprising. Having to run, getting separated from the rest of his former class, that's all the usual sort of bad luck he's dealt with all his life. Really, to have the bad luck be the cause of the situation is overall beneficial; it means the good luck will come in the midst of handling the situation.
But. Makoto is here as well. Given his role in the Remnants' rehabilitation, that he'd have to run isn't really the terrible part. It's that in the chaos Makoto has ended up with him when he could have been with Hajime or Kyoko or really anyone more capable of keeping Makoto safe.]
I really am sorry my bad luck had to attach itself to you like this! [This is not the first time Nagito has tried to apologize for this situation.] These things happen, but to get in the way of the Super High School Level Hope's plans like this, it's really shameful of me!
[Nagito has only a very general idea of where they are--when you're escaping it isn't really the best use of time to try and differentiate between alleyways and rubble more than you have to in order to make sure you're not going in circles--but he's not especially worried about that part. He's lucky, after all. He'll end up where his luck puts him.]
